The family of murdered Police recruit, Margaret Zonie has asked government to prosecute the killer of their daughter.

Speaking at the funeral Wednesday, the family said it is looking up to government for justice to take its course.

The female police recruit was brutally murdered by her fiancé Eric Tozoe during the early hours of August 11.

Tozoe told a police investigation he stabbed Margaret 36 times because she disrespected him.

He claimed Margaret no longer respected him since she joined the Police.

Tozoe who is currently in jail awaiting trail for murder said he had no regret for his action.

Meanwhile, the Liberia National Police said it would ensure Eric faces the full weight of the law.

Police Chief Munah Sieh assured the family the police will do all it can to ensure justice is done.

Margaret Zonie was laid to rest at the Soul Clinic Cemetery in Paynesville, outside Monrovia.
