Report from Lofa County says the engine of the D-7 Caterpillar assigned to the county has been scraped by some unknown persons.

Our correspondent said some major parts of the machine were also taken away.

The D-7 equipment has been packed in the town of Gbarkadu on the Liberian side of the border with Guinea

According to our correspondent, a Special Security Committee is investigating security personnel and local authorities assigned in the area.

The committee is being set-up by the county authorities and is headed by the Development Superintendent, Fofi Baimba.
