VP Boakai sells Liberia's business opportunities in Italy Print E-mail

Vice President Joseph Boakai has assured Italian investors that Liberia has many opportunities in the mining, maritime, fishing and tourism industries.


VP Boakai said Liberia is rich in minerals such iron ore, gold and diamonds that need to be exploited.
 

The Vice President who is visiting Italy, said government has granted contracts to three companies to start exploring for oil in the country.
 

According to a statement, Vice President Boakai spoke at a dinner hosted in his honor by the Liberian embassy in the Italian city of Bibbona.
 

The statement said the dinner was attended by a cross-section of Italian businessmen, administrators and politicians.
