The Superintendent of Grand Bassa County has assured her citizens that government would establish a university in the county before the end of its six-year term.
Madam Julia Duncan-Cassell said it is disheartening to note that a county considered the second oldest and third largest in revenue generation does not have a university or vocational school.
The Grand Bassa Superintendent blamed past authorities of the county for not being what she called farsighted.
Madam Duncan-Cassell said in the midst of the numerous concession companies that operated in the county, no one thought of engaging them in such venture.
She assured the citizens the issue of the university or vocational school construction would be placed on the county development agenda.
The Superintendent spoke at the opening of a two-day career and job fair program organized by the county authorities.
The program brings together job seekers and employers face-to-face to discuss and find a way forward on how to choose a career for the job market.
