3 die from free surgical operation in Lofa |

Report from Lofa County says at least three persons have died at the Telewonyan Memorial Hospital in Voinjama as the result of a free ongoing surgical work.
The free surgical work was conducted by the Liberia Surgical Outreach Program headed by former Health Minister, Dr. Peter Coleman.
More than one hundred patients from Liberia and Guinea received the one week of free medial treatment.
Our correspondent said a 26-year old woman, Satta Kamara died in her four month-old pregnancy during surgical work conducted by the team.
According to medical report, an eight-year boy also died due to drugs over reaction during the process.
Our correspondent also reported a 21-year old man also died Sunday while undergoing Hernia operation.
The head of the Outreach Surgical, Dr. Coleman described the death of the four-month old pregnant woman as negligible on the part of the hospital.
When our correspondent contacted the hospital, the hospital Laboratory Technician, Sam Quiah said some of the patients did not go through the proper screening before the surgery.
