The Human Rights Monitor of the Methodist Church has questioned the distribution of the fleet of vehicles donated to government by Acelor Mittal.

The Program Director of the group told Star Radio it was unthinkable for the Executive to give the vehicles to the Legislature which has a purchasing power at will.

Mr. Jefferson Natt said the executive should have thought of the security apparatus most especially the Police that lacks logistics to combat crimes.

Mr. Natt said the donation raises eyebrows as the executive has submitted several bills to the legislature for approval.

The UMC Rights Group Program Director said if government means well for its citizens, it must focus on the downtrodden masses.

Mr. Natt described the vehicle-donation to the legislature as unnecessary and expressed frustration over the executive decision.

A total of hundred vehicles were donated to government by the world’s richest iron ore company Acelor Mittal.

The vehicles are being turned over to lawmakers but the motive remains unclear.
