The club side of two Liberian international players has begun the CONCACAF Champions league on a sloppy note.
DC United fell 2-0 at home to a composed Costa Rican side Deportivo Saprissa on Tuesday evening.
The CONCACAF is the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Football Associations.
The American side was with out the services of their newly acquired Liberian goal keeper Louis Crayton due to the coach’s decision.
The other Francis Doe only managed to taste the last 14 minutes of the match due to his prolong time on the injury bench.
Saprissa secured their deserved three points on the road thanks to goals from Walter Centeno just after the half-hour mark and Jairo Arrieta shortly after the start of the second half.
Deportivo Saprissa had a huge presence of several World Cup veterans.
