Liberia finishes 5th in Gambia Print E-mail

Liberia
has finished at the bottom of the three day OLYMPAFRICA international mini football tournament held in the Gambia.


Liberia
managed to win only two games in the five team round robin tournament.


According to the Gambia online sports, Liberia Under-13 team secured six points after three days of action.


The Gambia and Senegal finished top with 9 points with the Gambia edging Senegal on goal difference.


The two Guineas (Conakry and Bissau) were tied on eight points with Bissau winning third place on goal difference and Liberia came out fifth with six points.


The tournament which will be an annual one is named after Daimler-Chrysler.


Daimler-Chrysler is partner of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) that is working together with the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) in the tournament.
