It appears that friction is brewing between authorities of the Liberia Marketing Association and the Love Our Children First Step School.

The school accused the LMA authority of stopping its operation in the flourished Waterside Market building in contravention of an MOU signed between them.

The administrator of the school said the MOU allows his institution to operate in the building for a ten year period.

Mr. Christopher Tolbert accused LMA President Lusu Sloan of unilaterally breaching the MOU by denying the school to operate in the building.

He told Star Radio his institution has taken the LMA to court and it had ordered the re-opening of the school pending investigation.

Mr. Tolbert said the LMA has refused to adhere to the order and continues to stall the operation of the school.

He called on relevant authorities to intervene into the matter.

Reacting to the allegation, the LMA has denied ever halting the operations of the Love Our Children First Step School in contravention of an MOU signed between them.

According to the President of the LMA, the entity is only demanding the
 re-visitation of the MOU.

Madam Lusu Sloan said count-eight of the MOU calls for its re-visitation.

Madam Sloan said the LMA wants the MOU re-visited because the administration of the school failed to adhere to some of the conditions of the MOU.

She said the MOU was intended to allow market women’s children to go to school and not for private use.

The LMA President however, denied knowledge of any court’s order for the
re-opening of the school pending investigation.
