The Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization has conducted a major reshuffle exercise, affecting regional and county commanders throughout the country.
The reshuffle exercise affected all the five regional commanders nation-wide including their deputies and advisors.
Also, the county commanders, deputies and chiefs of operations of the fourteen political sub-divisions excluding Montserrado were changed.
The BIN reshuffle exercise also affected the detail commanders of Salala, Zorzor, Salayea, Foyah, Bolongoidu and Kolahun Districts.
According to the BIN, the reshuffle also affects detail commanders of Vahun, Ganta, Loguatuo, Tappita, Bahn, Toe Town and the Yeala Port of entry.
Acting Immigration Commissioner Archie Williams said the changes were intended to infuse new dynamism in the Bureau’s command structure.
Colonel Williams however dismissed reports that the bureau was acting on rumors of insecurity along the country’s borderlines.
