Chief Justice Johnny Lewis says the Judiciary is not aware of any review of the act granting financial autonomy to the body.
Justice Lewis told reporters the announcement by the Senate is only being done in the media.
He said his office has not received any communication from the Senate informing it of the review.
Acting Senate Pro Temp Lahai Lassana last week announced that the Senate was reviewing the financial autonomy of the Judiciary.
Our reporter says the motive of the review remains unclear as the Senate was recently taken before Chambers Justice Jamesetta Wolokollie.
The NDPL took the Senate to court to challenge the suspension of Isaac Nyenabo as Pro Temp of the Upper House.
Chambers Justice Wolokollie heard the case but the parties have been tightlipped on the ruling.
Meanwhile, Chief Justice Lewis has confirmed ordering the prosecution of three persons for allegedly attempting to bribe him.
The Chief Justice said the suspects including a Lebanese national identifies as Nicholas Fayad offered him gifts, which he described as form of bribery.
The Lebanese national is a party to a case before the Supreme Court.
