The Drug Enforcement Agency in River Gee County has arrested a consignment of marijuana in Webbo District.
The DEA arrested the consignment from an Ivorian identified as Dweh Duona, leaving the Liberian side of the border en route to the Ivory Coast.
Report says the drug suspect escaped during interrogation and fled in the Webbo Forest leaving the bags of marijuana with the DEA.
Two Liberians who were in the company of the main suspects also escaped and are on the run.
This is the second arrest of a consignment of marijuana by the DEA in River Gee in recent time.
The DEA last week arrested a man identified as Dargba with two bags of marijuana.
Dargba who initially appeared before the Magisterial Court in Kaweaken has being transferred to the 15th Judicial Circuit Court in Fishtown for prosecution.
DEA Chief of Operation in River Gee, Lt. Kayee promised to make the county drugs free.
He however, appealed to central government for logistics tofacilitate the work of the Drugs Enforcement Agency in River Gee.
