The Assistant Secretary General of the opposition Congress for Democratic Change has described as a blatant lie defensive statement by Acting Information Minister Cletus Sieh.
Mr. Sieh early this week told Star Radio Mr. Acarus Gray was arrested and detained among motorcyclists who were on the rampage.
Mr. Gray in reaction said the Acting Information Minister was not informed of the situation.
The CDC Assistant Secretary General said the action against him was pre-empted and politically motivated.
Mr. Gray said he was handcuffed and wounds inflated on him by Police officers at the Metro Depot on Ashmun Street.
Mr. Gray alleged following hours of detention, some senior Police officers went to him to beg him under cover and up to present he has not been charged.
The CDC Assistant Secretary General wants government charge him and to make public the reason of his arrest.
The Executive Committee of the opposition CDC has described the arrest and detention of its official as harassment of opposition politicians.
