Sinoe County Superintendent Sylvester Grigsby says the situation at the Sinoe Rubber Corporation remains fragile despite frantic efforts to restore calm at the plantation.
Superintendent Grigsby told Star Radio members of the dissolved citizens’ welfare committee are still preventing free movement at the SRC.
The Sinoe County Superintendent confirmed that two persons have been shot with a single barrel gun at the plantation, but they did not die.
According to him, the two were brought to Greenville and the bullets extracted from their bodies.
Superintendent Grigsby said the conflict has also left several persons seriously wounded at the plantation.
Mr. Grigsby however, said several persons have been arrested in connection with the incident.
The Sinoe County Superintendent called on requisite authorities to intervene to stop the situation from degenerating into a full-scale conflict.
Meanwhile, Sinoe County students at the AME University have called on government to set up an investigative committee to probe situations at the Sinoe Rubber Plantation.
The President of the students told Star Radio they are not satisfied with unfolding situations at the plantation.
Mr. Ragan Bropleh observed residents of the plantation live in constant fear as a result of the factional fighting at the Sinoe Rubber Plantation.
Mr. Bropleh said government and the Sinoe County Legislative Caucus should also constitute an Interim Management Team to run the plantation.
According to him, the team would be able to bring the constant in-house fighting to an end.
