New USAID head begins duty Print E-mail

The newly appointed Mission Director of the United States Agency for International Development has begun her tour of duty in Liberia.


Ms. Pamela White will direct the expanding mission and the implementation of the recently signed four assistance agreements with government.
 

The over eighty million dollars assistance package plus implementation of other projects brings the US assistance for Fiscal Year 2008 to over one hundred three million.
 

Ms. White comes to Liberia from USAID Tanzania where she served since 2005 and helped the country received one of the largest grants of the Millennium Challenge Corporation.                                                       
 

A USAID release says Ms. White ensure substantial growth of the mission including the start of the President’s Malaria Initiative.
 

She is also noted, for ensuring the growth of the largest President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief program.
