A program has been held in River Gee County to welcome fourteen convicts recently pardoned by President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf.
President Sirleaf granted the convicts Executive Clemency after they were found guilty of murder of six persons in the southeastern county.
The men administered trial by ordeal commonly known as Sassywood on the six persons, which led to their death.
According to report, county authorities and officials of the UN mission escorted the pardoned convicts to the town where they administered the sassywood.
Star Radio gathered the men expressed regrets for their action and openly apologized to the families of the victims.
