Report from Grand Gedeh County says three prisoners have escaped from the newly constructed National Palace of Correction.
The prisoners were identified as Prince Kai, Abraham Delue and Ursher Walter.
The Shift Commander, Moses Kannioh told our correspondent the three prisoners used the security guard post under the cover of darkness to escape.
Mr. Kannioh attributed the escape to what he called prison negligence.
Commander Kannioh also told Star Radio the National Palace of Correction is presently operating in darkness.
He said the two generators at the prison compound are not being used due to the lack of fuel.
According to our correspondent, this is the second time prisoners have escaped from the National Palace of Correction.
He said two prisoners recently escaped from the prison compound but were rearrested.
