A Pentecostal Cleric has urged journalists in the country to perform their duties with truth and honesty.

Rev. Georgina Attis of the Faith Healing Temple also called on journalists to focus on God as their only source of protection and guidance.

She believes this would enable them to maintain the public trust because they would perform without fear or favor.

The Bishop of the church then presented a Certificate of Excellent Performance to the Press Union of Liberia.

Bishop Mai Roberts also offered prayers for the union and its members and congratulated them on their 44th Anniversary.

Receiving the certificate, PUL Secretary Peter Quaqya said the union was humble that it could be certificated for the first time ever by a church in the history of the union.

Mr. Quaqua described the certificate as ground breaking and called for more prayers for journalists as there were troubling times in their profession.
