The Booker Washington Institute Alumni Association says it is disappointed over the delay of efforts at elevating the institute to a technical college level.

In a statement issued, the association described the delay as troubling, unacceptable and counter-productive to the nation’s quest for manpower training and development.

The BWI Alumni Association is seeking the intervention of the Board of Trustees of the institute headed by President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to intervene in breaking the impasse.

The association has further expressed what it called outrage that since the institute was reconstituted months ago there is no indication that it has gotten down to business.

It has meanwhile, called on individuals who have passion for higher and quality education in the country join the campaign to elevate BWI.
