The spokesman of the defunct rebel group, Movement for Democracy in Liberia has openly apologized for his roles in the civil war.
Mr. Boi Bleaju Boi said he regrets the death, destruction and displacement of Liberians as a result of the war.
Mr. Boi revealed that MODEL was formed by some revelations and blessings from God to topple the regime of Charles Taylor.
He said Liberians and foreigners in the diaspora supported the defunct rebel group, which did not carryout any summary executions.
The former MODEL’s rebel General spoke when he appeared before the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
He said as spokesman of MODEL, he visited the battlefronts and took-up arms to counter attack militias of Charles Taylor.
During his testimony, Mr. Boi, an ex-AFL officer, identified himself as General overseer of a local Church and a member of the pro-war crimes court group.
