ADF gives grants to two groups Print E-mail

The United States African Development Foundation has presented grants to two local organizations in the country.


The Kpatawee Community Development Association in Bong County and SHOCAS, a women group are the two beneficiaries of the grants.
 

The grants which total one hundred seventy-seven thousand US Dollars are intended to increase the income of marginalized entrepreneurs.
 


The Country Program Coordinator of the Foundation told Star Radio the grants are also aimed at creating sustainable social structures with in beneficiary communities.
 

Mr. Addo said the Kpatawee Association would largely focus on eco-tourism activities around the Kpatawee Water Fall while SHOCAS would look at women empowerment.
 

Receiving the money, the two organizations expressed appreciation of the donation and promised to use it intended purpose.
