Ugandan women group to present documentary |

A Ugandan Women’s Advocacy organization is expected present a video documentary to the government for validation.
The documentary is a comprehensive situational data analysis of women survivors and their experiences during and after the Liberian civil conflict.
It is produced by a Ugandan-based group called ISIS-WICCE.
A Gender Ministry release said the documentary contains findings from a research conducted in Bong, Lofa Maryland and Grand Kru Counties early this year.
The release said the research was conducted in collaboration with the Gender Ministry and the Women in Peace-building Network.
The research highlights the indiscriminate killings, rape, sexual abuse, torture, and recruitment of child soldiers.
The purpose of the documentation is to highlight the terrifying levels of brutality meted against the civilian population by all warring factions during the civil conflict.
Groups targeted to be informed include policy and decision makers, human rights activities, humanitarian agencies and the international community.
