A group of arts and craftsmen stormed the National Museum on Monday to demand their artifacts.

A spokesperson of the group Abu Keita claimed government owes them over thirty-two thousand U.S. dollars and refused to clear its financial obligation.

Mr. Keita said the artifacts were taken to the National Museum since 2006 with the understanding that government would pay for them.

He said since that time they have not received a dime despite efforts made to have government pay their money.

Mr. Keita said they have run out of patience and they would go ahead to sweep the Museum of every artifacts belonging to them.

Our reporter who visited the Museum on Monday saw Mr. Keita and his men in readiness to take away the artifacts but they were asked to await the Director.

When contacted, Information Minister Dr. Laurence Bropleh said he would comment later.
