Liberia, China sign MOU for cooperation Print E-mail

Liberia
and China have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at promoting economic and technical cooperation between the two countries.


Foreign Minister Olubanke King-Akerele signed for Liberia while Chinese Ambassador Zhou Yuxiao signed on behalf of his government.  
 

Under the Agreement, China will provide assistance to Liberia to cover expenses of projects agreed upon by the two countries.
 

A Foreign Ministry release said procedures pertaining to implementation of the Agreement will be concluded between the Ministry of Finance and the China Development Bank.
 

At the signing ceremony, Foreign Minister King-Akerele expressed gratitude and appreciation to the People’s Republic of China for her numerous assistance to Liberia.
 

Responding, Ambassador Zhou Yuxiao expressed gratitude and assured that China would remain committed to supporting Liberia’s recovery programs.
