The Secretary General of the Liberia Timber Association has reported what he considered an assassination attempt on his life.

Mr. John Deah said a group of unknown men attacked his residence over the weekend at the Shoe Factory area on the Somalia Drive.

Mr. Deah said the attackers were armed with A-K 47 rifles and fired three times before fleeing the house after his neighbors alarmed.

He believes the attack was an assassination attempt because the attackers did not take anything from the house but only wanted to know his whereabouts from the children.

Mr. Deah called on government to arm members of the Liberia National Police to enable the force combat armed robbery in the society.
