The German NGO, Agro Action says reconstruction works on the Kanwiaken-Barclayville Highway will be completed in 2010.
The 80km road in the Southeast leads from Kanwiaken junction, River Gee to Barclayville, Grand Kru County.
The Senior Technician Mr. Emmet Sackor disclosed that the road project includes reconstruction of bridges, replacing damaged culverts and filling potholes.
According to him, the work is been done simultaneously from both the Barclayville and Kanwiaken ends of the road.
Mr. Sackor said the road project, which was started last October, is expected to end in the next two dry seasons.
He said the road when completed will last more than 10 years.
Mr. Sackor expressed the German Government’s commitment to supporting Liberia’s reconstruction and development process.
