The Civil Society Movement of Margibi County has called for an independent audit into the alleged misapplication of the County’s Development Funds.

The Chairman for the group accused Superintendent Levi Piah as the man responsible for the alleged misapplication of the county’s money.

Mr. Henry Ballayan told STAR radio out of the three hundred and sixty-six thousand U.S. dollars given to the county, a little over two hundred thousand has been expended.

Mr. Ballayan said his group has already sent its findings into corruption allegation in Margibi County to President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf.

When contacted via mobile phone, Superintendent Levi Piah dismissed the group’s allegation as false.

Superintendent Piah however, said the group was on a campaign to tarnish his reputation and as such he would not respond.
