District Commissioner detained in Gbarpolu County Print E-mail

The Bokomu District Commissioner in Gbarpolu County has been arrested and detained on charge of economic sabotage.

County Attorney Philip Malik said Commissioner Thomas Krewu obstructed Finance Ministry officials from collecting government taxes. 

According to Attorney Malik, the commissioner claimed that his office was not aware of any revenue agent collecting taxes in the district. 

The County Attorney said Commissioner Krewu is being held in Bopolu City awaiting trial.
