Nimba County Senator Prince Johnson has appealed to parties in the Doumpa-Zuaplay land dispute to exercise restraint.

Reports say at least one person has been killed and ten rice kitchens burnt down in the fight over the border land located between the two Clans.

Doumpa Clan is in Saclapea District while Zuaplay Clan is situated in Tappita District.

Both Clans are claiming ownership of the border land.

Senator Johnson advised his citizens to stop all forms of violence in the name of land dispute.

The Senator commended the government and the UN mission for the prompt action taken to deploy UNMIL personnel in the troubled zone.

Senator Johnson also appealed to President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf to seek a peaceful solution to the bloody land crisis.
